우리의 신조 (Faith Statement)

1. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine, the only, and absolute authority for all Christian faith and life. (우리는 신구약 성경은 성령의 감동으로 기록된 하나님의 말씀으로 그 원본에는 오류가 없고, 인간의 구원 사역을 위한 하나님의 완벽한 계시이며, 아울러 기독교인의 믿음과 생활에 대하여 유일한 절대적인 권위를 가지고 있음을 믿는다.)

2. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (우리는 모든 것의 창조자 이시자, 무한토록 완벽하고 영원히 존재하시는 한 분의 하나님을 믿으며, 아울러 이 한 분의 하나님은 삼위, 즉 성부 성자 성령으로 존재하심을 믿는다.)

3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate. (우리는 예수 그리스도는 성령으로 잉태하사 동정녀 마리아에게 나신 완전한 하나님이자 완전한 사람임을 믿는다. 성경에 의하면 그는 우리 죄를 속죄하기 위하여 십자가에서 죽으셨고, 죽은 자 가운데서 육체적으로 부활하시고, 하늘에 오르사 지극히 높으신 하나님 우편에 앉아 계시고, 현재 우리의 대 제사장이 되시며 아울러 우리의 옹호자가 되심을 믿는다.)

4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (우리는 성령의 사역은 주 예수 그리스도를 영화롭게 하며, 현시대에 있어서는 인간이 죄인임을 알게 하고, 믿음 있는 죄인을 거듭나게 하고, 신자가 거룩한 삶을 살수 있도록 내재 하시고, 인도하시고, 가르치시고, 능력 주시는 것임을 믿는다.)

5. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (우리는 사람은 하나님의 형상으로 창조되었으나, 죄로 말미 암아 파멸의 상태에 이르렀고, 오직 성령을 통하여 거듭날 때 만이 구원과 영적 삶을 얻을 수 있음을 믿는다.)

6. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. (우리는 예수 그리스도의 피와 그의 부활만이 모든 믿는 자에게 칭의와 구원을 제공하며, 예수 그리스도를 영접하는 자는 성령으로 태어나며, 따라서 하나님의 자녀가 됨을 믿는다.)

7. We believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age, but they are not to be regarded as means of salvation. (우리는 세례와 성찬은 현세대에 있어 교회를 통하여 지켜져야 할 의식이나, 이것들이 구원의 방법으로 간주되지는 않는다고 믿는다.)

8. We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. (우리는 참된 교회란 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음으로 구원 받고, 성령에 의해 거듭나며, 교회의 머리가 되시는 예수 그리스도의 몸에 연합된 모든 사람들로 구성됨을 믿는다. )

9. We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to establish His Kingdom and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (우리는 주 예수 그리스도가 그의 왕국을 건설하기 위하여 개인적이고도 절박하게 이 땅에 오실 것을 믿으며, 바로 이 복스러운 희망이 각 신자의 개인적인 삶에나 다른 신자에 대한 봉사를 함에 있어서 활기찬 인내가 됨을 믿는다.)

10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (우리는 모든 죽은 자의 육체적 부활을 믿으며, 신자는 부활 후 주안에서 영원한 복과 기쁨을 누리며, 불신자는 부활 후 심판과 의식적으로 느낄 수 있는 영원한 벌을 받을 것임을 믿는다.)
